Zayzoo's Bizzare Adventure: Page 1
This is a new game I'm working on, called "Zayzoo's Bizzare Adventure", It's meant to be
a very different 3D platformer, given that it's a crossover extravaganza. This is a screenshot
of what I have so far:
As you can see, the game isn't much right now.
Also, it's gonna be a challenge to develop, given that it's made in GameMaker Studio 1.4, which:
1. GMS1.4 is considered an outdated engine in this current era, especially when in comparison to GMS2, now simply just called GameMaker
2. GMS1.4 is primarily a 2D engine, and only has 3D functions for rendering, Everything else (model engine, collisions, etc.) I'll need to do myself.
This project has actually existed for quite a while now, ever since around 2020 or so, in-fact.
However, due to constant need to rewrite the engine because of various reasons
(builds being lost, game engine switches, versions of the game being cancelled, etc.)
ZBA has never really seen the light of day. Now, though. I hope to achieve that goal.
Something about ZBA I've been wanting to share for a while now is the fact that
I feel a bit nervous about sharing it.
What if ZBA is too weird? What if people don't like it?
What if it gets the wrong kind of audience?
I have no idea what'll happen when I'm finally done this multi-year quest to complete this game,
Thinking I'm finally able to move on to the next big thing,
only for ZBA to be laughed at and recognized as a "joke" despite the
fact I put so much work into it.
Sorry, I'm getting a bit sidetracked.
That screenshot is really the only thing the game has in store right now.
Other than the music, and I'm willing to put alot of work into ZBA's soundtrack.
Also, I want to write about my current plans for the game, so maybe I'll get to that eventually.
